Growth Green
BEHIND THE DROP
The color green signifies newness, freshness, growth
2025 is just getting started and you’ve most likely set your sights on what it is you’d like to accomplish
This drop is a reminder of the opportunity that lies ahead
It’s a symbol of growth
This is your year
I wanted to share a bit behind the design of the sweatshirt since it’s not in our typical colorway
THE FRONT
Designed with a classic stitch. The city of Detroit is known for its blue-collared grit. Being founded just outside the city, I want this brand to have the influence of the city of Detroit in both its style and feel.
We are gritty, get the job done individuals.
THE BACK
Our varsity flag draped over our mission. Let people know what you stand for and be proud of it!
THE SLEEVE
You’ll notice this unique stitch most frequently when wearing that reads “All In” with a track cleat. If you’ve been following along—you’ll know that this year, I’ll be chasing my fastest marathon time yet of sub 3:10. This was the inspiration behind the track cleat.
Whether you’re chasing a new marathon best or trying to get stronger in the gym, this is a reminder of the goals you’re working towards. On the good days and tough ones, we’re ALL IN
LIVING THE DREAM
Consuming vs Doing
A started reading a book that seemed to fall into my lap at the right time called The 5 Types of Wealth by Sahil Bloom
The book covers the 5 types of wealth in the time, social, mental, physical and financial sense.
Author seems to be at a similar point in life as myself, where having a young son has made him to become hyper aware of time
The book touches on the finite time we get with our kids, our family, our friends and how to maximize it through the 5 key areas
All while excelling at his personal and professional goals as well
In the book, there is a quote by the author James Clear
“You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.”
Systems are the daily actions that create forward progress.
High leverage systems create amplified asymmetric forward progress
So what’s this mean to me—
Generally when somebody tells me they read, I regard them as somebody interested in growth, development, improvement and they probably have some level of self-reflection
These are all great attributes
One’s you’d want to embody
Between all of the books, podcasts and YouTubes out there, there’s a wealth of knowledge literally at our fingertips
We’re all sponges to this knowledge and information. Constantly reading, taking note, sharing on socials
Once you retain this knowledge, what good is it if you don’t do anything with it?
The key is acting.
Daily asymetrical actions to create forward progress.
When we consume content and dream up ideas or dreams without putting systems in place to create them, they remain just a dream.
Create systems to live the dream.
These are things that I’ve done so far to create systems for Living The Dream—
Got a Big A$$ calendar and mapped out the year
Created SMART goals for growing my brand/channel. (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound)
Mapped out my training with run coach
Started journaling to document/track
I don’t want you to ever take this as me thinking I have it all figured out…
But I’m willing to share my process to provide value and help you learn from my mistakes and wins along the way
If you’ve found yourself listening/dreaming lately, take this as your sign to live the dream
Put the systems in place to do it
The dream you have is there for a reason
There’s bigger regret not acting on it than to at least say you’ve tried
Don’t dream the dream, live it!
The Persistent Pursuit
A GROWTH MINDSET
A GROWTH MINDSET
Definition of Persistence—firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition
My entire life I’ve been goal oriented
The finish line has always seemed to be moving
Lacrosse Scholarship
Good job upon graduation
Better job
Better pay
Even better pay
You get the gist
Since I can remember, I’ve been in the persistent pursuit of the next goal.
Each time I’ve achieved, it’s almost as if the curtain was peeled back to the realities of what I thought I wanted and it was no longer there.
Because once I’d attained what I spent so long in the persistent pursuit of, I realized I could do better
It almost felt like I was disappointed at what I’d achieved, it no longer seemed good enough or big enough anymore
I’d downplay the accomplishment and search for the next goal
I realize now that in order to grow, this is the mentality required
I’ve come to the conclusion that the goal will always evolve as your life and your values do
It’s what’s required to grow and evolve as a person and to continue to accomplish what you set out to do
My personal goals have evolved as I’ve grown over time.
My fitness goals have evolved over the years
That’s why the mission of ALL IN ATHLETIC CLUB is that we are
“bonded by the persistent pursuit of our health and performance goals”
We are growth-driven individuals
I believe that it’s in our DNA to strive to be better
You can’t will a persistent effort or drive into someone. It’s within them.
It’s the voice that can’t be ignored.
It’s the reason when challenges arise or life gets tough that we don’t give up, we persist
The persistent pursuit is what gives our life purpose and meaning
If we stop after crossing the finish line, then what?
The question will always be—“what’s next?”
And it’s a GOOD THING
We are growing!
ALL IN this year
Impatience with actions. Patience with results.
ALL IN was created for the those committed to the persistent pursuit of health and performance goals.
We’re goal-oriented, performance focused and growth driven individuals
the person in the room that has that gritty get it done mentality, no excuses.
Heading into this year, I’ve taken the time to brainstorm and map out what I want this brand to look like in the upcoming year and what you can expect as part of the club.
Every brand I look up to has foundational principles that they operate on in order to carry out their mission.
I want to be very clear in what I want to create here and give you a view behind the curtain as this brand grows and evolves.
So here are our operating principles—
FAMILY
Those in your life that you care for as if they were your own blood
These are the people that understand you the most and will support you through all of life’s ups and downs
These relationships are what make your life rich and fulfilling
Keep them close, prioritize them
FITNESS
The anchor.
This is as natural as breathe to us.
Moving the body is simply what’s necessary for us to perform at our best and show up as our best for the people in our lives
GROWTH
Appreciating the now, striving for better. Always
We are in the persistent pursuit of the best version of ourselves
GIVING
This is one that personally I can always improve on (maybe it’s my growth-mindset)
Give something of value to others with no expectation of reciprocation
The sense of purpose that it gives and the fulfillment it brings will return your favor two-fold
We all have something to give others. Even if it’s as simple as a positive compliment
Give our best
My hope is that by defining these core values, we have a strong foundation to build on for the year
WHAT WILL THE CLUB BE SEEING MORE OF THIS YEAR?
This year is growth-focused.
While personally, my family will be growing—I have a marathon on the calendar that will require a mindset dedicated to growth as well
I’ll be documenting and sharing my training on my personal YOUTUBE & Instagram
You’ll be given the tools, education, and hopefully a bit of motivation to carry out your goals through our socials
If you haven’t already, pick a fitness goal for the year.
If you need help brainstorming one, let’s talk.
If you need coaching to get you there, let’s work together.
This year, be ALL IN
How I’m planning my 2025
Impatience with actions. Patience with results.
IMPATIENCE WITH ACTIONS
PATIENCE WITH RESULTS
2025 is quickly approaching. Here’s how I’m filling out my calendar to make sure that my year aligns with what I want to experience & accomplish
big things first
This is the most obvious. The big stuff. The things you have to and want to be there for/must not miss.
For me, this is arrival of baby number 3, family celebrations or weddings, family events/vacations together, marathon races
misogi
I learned this from Jesse Itzler and absolutely love it. A “Misogi” in his interpreted definition is a japanese word for a year defining event. Something you prepare for that you haven’t done before. The big kahuna of the year.
Try to think of something you’ve always said you wanted to try or learn and get it on the calendar!
I love having something like this to center my focus throughout the year and look forward to a big day.
Family & Friends
Carve out time for your people! Events you want to experience together, date nights, vacations, host a dinner—quality time that fills your cup.
firsts
Life can sometimes feel like it’s on auto-pilot. We are creatures of habit. While I thrive off of routine, I’m a big believer in trying & experiencing new things. Which is why I plan & prioritize “Firsts”
Firsts are something you’ve never done before (or maybe your partner, friends, kids haven’t done before) that you plan to do every 8 weeks.
This could be something as simple as trying a new restaurant all the way to planning to go to a concert, visit a new city, go on a hike you’ve never been on . It simply has to be something you’ve never done before.
If you follow the rule of firsts, you’ll have 6 Firsts every year. Over 5 years, thats 30 new things you wouldn’t have otherwise tried!
Books
Create a list of 12 books you’d like to read for the year. Tailor these books towards topics that support what you’re working towards in the new year. Reading just 10 pages per day should get you through 12 books easily within a year.
If your schedule offers time for you to listen more than to read, consider audiobooks. Another great way to get the same benefit.
I’ve found reading to be a great way to calm my mind and set the tone to either starting or reflecting on the day.
document
Life moves fast. Time is undefeated. Find an effective way to document your life in the moment!
When it comes to fitness, having a journal where you can record your daily workouts provides you with a reference point to reflect on where you were at and how you’ve progressed.
The same applies to life—personally, having kids has made me ultra aware of this concept. Time moves so fast and they grow and evolve so quickly! I’ve made the commitment to use my camera often, journal things I/they are doing, to have and reflect back on each of their birthdays by making a photo book.
Whatever works best for you, document!
check in
Each month, I have a reminder set on my phone to evaluate how the past month went and what could be improved or adjusted.
This helps keep me on track and reminds me of the intentions set at the beginning of the year.
The playbook is written. play hard!
If you’ve planned in these areas, your playbook for the year is written. Your only job is to follow the book. Things will come up as they do in life, but with this guide, you’ll be prepared to execute on one of your most successful years yet!
Be where your feet are.
Enjoy the small stuff.
Play Hard.
